Abstract
Brake thermal Efficiency of CI engine operated with biodiesels can be enhanced by using low heat rejection engine by properly utilizing the rejected heat from the engine. In this research work, ceramic materials are used to coat on valve head, cylinder head and piston head so that heat transfer is restricted. Investigation on a conventional engine using diesel as a fuel, and blends of Safflower oil biodiesel (SFLOME) and Dairy Scum oil methyl ester (DSOME) with diesel respectively to determine its performance with and without LHR coatings. During this research work it is observed that, BTE is increased, the combustion parameters such as emission of smoke, CO and UBHC were reduced and NOx emission increased as compared to conventional CI engine.
