Distance Learner Welfare & Grievance Redressal - A Holistic Approach

Abstract

The success of open & distance learning is based on a three way affiliation between the student, academic counsellors and technology. To make the distance education as more successful one, University undertakes several welfare measures. Grievance redressal is considered as one of the student welfare measures. Grievances received are addressed systematically with active involvement and cooperation of the respective departments/sections concerned with the grievances. Grievance redressal develops positive thinking & morale among the students. A satisfied student is an ambassador of the educational institution in the society. The present study is an attempt to assess the reasons for emergence of grievances and grievance redressal as a welfare measure of University.
