Parks and Recreation was a hit NBC showed that aired from 2009 to 2015. The show contains numerous examples of economic concepts and principles that can be used in the classroom. We outline 5 lesson plans on topics from the show that can be used to supplement an instructor's current teaching. Topics include comparative economic systems, market structures, government bailouts, government intervention, and labor market discrimination.
