The results show that Javanese ethnopedagogy values have an important role in character education for junior high school students with Javanese culture, that is, apart from being a basic element of character building students as well as an effort to build national identity and filters in selecting foreign cultural influences. Javanese cultural values are easier to internalize, socialize, and enculturate to students because of the cultural attachments that students bring.
