Abstract
Patent Law: An Open-Access Casebook is a comprehensive casebook covering all the fundamentals of the United States patent system. It is designed to be used as the primary text in a 3-credit or 4-credit patent law course. Any portion of the casebook may also, of course, be used separately.
Editing note: In Version 1.1, we have fixed a few typos, updated a few citations, adjusted one image (in In re Owens), and updated one of the author biographies. No substantive changes have been made from Version 1 and no pagination has changed. So if you have assigned—or been assigned—page ranges based on Version 1, no adjustments are necessary.
