Abstract
In trade policy corridors, an e-commerce agenda for women’s empowerment has been rapidly gaining traction. However, these discussions are based on the model of unbridled hyperglobalization critiqued by feminists for its pernicious effects on women in the global South.
This paper takes a closer look at this e-commerce agenda, exploring its potential for furthering a global trade order that corresponds to feminist visions of economic and gender justice.
