Abstract

This research paper reports two IoT (Internet of things) based Electrical engineering applications and control systems using IoT concepts. The first utility is a smart transformer. It’s troublesome and expensive to lay down the communication wires to observe and manage every distribution electrical device station. Transformers are the basic device that gives power transmission by remodeling induced current from one circuit to a different circuit. The induced current may be born-again accelerate &step down of current or voltage. This application principally concentrates on the 3 section electrical devices that are employed in between electrical poles & power transformers. The important time dominant is completed on the essential future like the current, voltage, temperature maintained. These options are essential for effective power transmission & the long lifetime of industrial electrical devices. The observation & management of the electrical device is completed by the victimization Arduino Controller, the sensing element that checks this, and voltage& maintains temperature by regular observation. There are varied electrical device maintenance techniques, however, this project offers real-time observation &controlling of the electrical devices by victimization Arduino Uno Controller that replace the large computers creating it as an embedded system.

The second utility is a report of a design and prototype implementation of new surveillance and control system of electrical devices that uses Wi-Fi technology based upon IoT. IoT-based surveillance and control system helps save energy and allows to control from a distant place. Schedule, monitor, and improve various aspects of our energy consumption. As energy consumption by electrical appliances has increased in large amounts, overcoming it and improving efficiency, turns out to be a big challenge. In this work, a lamp is used for surveillance and control purposes using IOT through simple Wi-Fi and its power consumption data is displayed in SQL sheet using PHP programming language.
