Abstract

At a moment in history when constitutional rights are being threatened around the globe, How Constitutional Rights Matter is extremely topical, challenges previous understandings on the significance of constitutional rights, and provides us with much to ponder over. How Constitutional Rights Matter has all the elements to make it one of the most important books in contemporary constitutionalism. It is hoped that other scholars will develop, or perhaps even challenge, Chilton and Versteeg’s claims and research designs.

Keywords: Constitutional Rights, Human Rights, Comparative Constitutional Law, Constitutional Politics
