Abstract
The chapter evaluates Opinion 2/13 on the accession of the EU to the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) delivered in 2013 by the European Court of Justice. It considers the notion of autonomy of the EU legal order and the chances of a future accession of the EU to the ECHR in the light of more recent case law of the Court.
