A Tribute to Frank S. Alexander

Abstract

Frank S. Alexander pioneered the field of law and religion study, teaching, and publication. This Article celebrates his early work at Harvard in the 1970s and the formation of the Council of Religion and Law and the Journal of Law and Religion. It also documents Alexander’s leadership in the creation and expansion of the Center for the Study of Law and Religion at Emory University after 1982 and his own pioneering work on housing and community development throughout the country.
