Abstract

In consideration of prevailing levels of LGBTQ+ phobia and other forms of identity-based prejudice, some people will be more at risk of discrimination and violence in fieldwork settings. This handbook is targeted at staff and students and presents work in progress. It addresses some of these challenges and provides guidance on how field research can be more inclusive and safer for LGBTQ+ people.

Keywords: LGBTQ+, fieldwork, inclusion, diversity, equality, safety, ethics, risk assessment
