Abstract
Words are essential in the field of law. Attempts to craft AI systems in the law are likely to make use of Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities, akin to Alexa or Siri. This brings up a famous open problem in the AI field that is known as the Winograd Schema Challenge (WSC). Exploring the WSC provides insights into the design of AI-based legal reasoning systems.
