Abstract

A major, multiyear project is underway to restyle (redraft) the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy—the fifth and last set of federal court rules to be restyled. The goal is to improve clarity and consistency without changing substantive meaning. This article offers some before-and-after examples of the 3000–6000 series of bankruptcy rules, which were published for comment in August 2021. A previous article (also available on my SSRN page) showed some examples from the 1000–2000 series.

Please note: this pdf is identical to the version published in the Michigan Bar Journal, which formatted it somewhat differently.
