Abstract
The Law of the People's Republic of China on the Promotion of Family Education (中华人民共和国家庭教育促进法) (POFE Law) comes into force on 1st January, 2022 (Art.55).
This paper identifies the individuals and organisations accorded legal responsibilities, and also lists related legal requirements, under the POFE Law.
The POFE Law is an exceptional public policy excursion into the private realm of more than 1.4 billion people and it is therefore important for us all to develop a clear understanding of the range and nature of the legal responsibilities created for the promotion of family education, now borne by such a vast range of individuals and institutions within the Chinese state.
