Abstract
In this paper, we create a Q-index to capture the speed of Bitcoin adoption and show the variationin the adoption speed across 84 countries. We find that the adoption speed is related to a set ofsocial-economic factors, and that developed countries lead in learning and adopting Bitcoin.
