Abstract

Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) passively touch many aspects of our world. Its role has only widened over the years due to the development of technology and due to its interactions with other laws and international agreements. Sustainable development is an aspect where the effects of IPRs are felt. Sustainable development has been a staple discourse of international policymakers for years, and it essentially aims to balance our economic, environmental, and social needs, allowing prosperity for now and future generations. This paper examines both concepts, and then it discusses the ways by which intellectual property rights may promote sustainable development for a better world.

The paper uses the National Association of Law Teachers (NALT) Referencing Style.
