Abstract
Since last few years, there has been a huge demand of and an increased rate of interest towards emotional intelligence in most of the working areas. Emotional intelligence is an emerging topic in many areas as it connects human beings emotionally with each other. This is the skill of a person which is very important to know one self and to others. Through this intelligence, one can feel and understand their own as well as others’ feelings. There are number of studies done on emotional intelligence with showing its effect on education system. This paper is based on literature review studies and the papers included here actually investigate different facets/areas of emotional intelligence towards various working areas especially an educational institution. The literature reviews incorporated here throw light upon emotional intelligence in relation to other variables from different countries. The research papers identified here are coded as authors’ name with year of publication, country of study conducted, participants, Scales/ measurement techniques, sample size, variables used and the key findings. This tabular format of literature reviews will be beneficial to the new readers with main focus on emotional intelligence in educational institutions in an easy way.
