Factors Affecting the Student’s Attitude Towards Career Counselling

Abstract
Students are often found confused or uninformed about their career path, even after completing their education. The degrees they hold are not enough to equip them with the vision of what they need to do in their careers ahead. Career counselling, when administered at the right time, can help students to gain clarity on their future careers. The present study was conducted on a sample of 100 students. The aim of this research is to examine the factors that affect the attitude of students about career counselling. The obtained findings show that the four factors namely - Defining career counselling, Information about career options, Opinion about career counselling and Knowledge about career counselling benefits have a significant impact on their attitude towards career counselling. Various descriptive and inferential statistical tools like ANOVA, Correlation, t-test, Multiple Regression Analysis were used for examining data and achieving the objectives mentioned above.
