Abstract

Two nickel-base oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) superalloys with different introduction methods of nano-oxides were prepared by mechanical alloying (MA) and hot extrusion (HEX). Meanwhile, a nickel-base superalloy without nano-oxides was fabricated by the same HEX process. The influence of introduction methods of nano-oxides on microstructure and properties of nickel-base ODS superalloys were investigated. The influencing mechanisms of ductility in nickel-base superalloy were studied at temperatures ranging from room temperature (RT) to 1000 °C. The results show that the introduction methods of oxide particle results in the difference of the size and volume fraction of oxide particle in nickel-base ODS superalloys. In addition, the different trend of ductility in nickel-base superalloy with and without ODS is mainly affected by the oxidative damage, grain boundary sliding and grain boundary
