Abstract

Earth’s inhabitants continue to accelerate, as per the report of the United States world’s population is expected to surpass 10 billion in 2050. The resulting changes in the world’s population will impose a great burden on food systems to feed 10 billion people nutritiously and sustainably. With the continuously rising population and degradation of the natural environment feeding such a large population will not be an easy job and will impose added pressure on a system that is already exploiting too many resources. Disruptive technologies like Artificial Intelligence are emerging as game-changer in the food industry as it has the approachability of big data for vigorous training and provide effective smart machinery and predictable models for real-time results. This paper investigates various applications of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning in the food domain.
