Abstract

This paper was submitted to the Joint Parliamentary Committee providing comments on the draft Indian Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019. It provides suggestions and redrafts various clauses of the PDP Bill, particularly dealing with the exemption granted to the State, privacy by design and sandboxes, Data Protection Authority, data localisation, children's data etc.
