Abstract

This piece offers guidance to people who are considering law librarianship as a profession. They might be lawyers or librarians who are thinking of career changes, or they might be just starting out.

It addresses some obvious questions—what's the pay like? what education do you need? And it also discusses some other questions that are less common but no less important—what is the work like? what are status concerns? how do people react when you say "I'm a librarian"?

Keywords: law librarianship, careers
