Abstract

The Law n.º 81/2021, of 30th November, approved the anti-doping law in sport, adopting in the internal legal system the rules established in the World Anti-Doping Code and revoked Law n.º 38/2012, of 28th August. It happens, however, that despite this recent legislative update, the legislator continued to keep outside the scope of subjective criminal, misdemeanour, and disciplinary responsibility one of the sports agents that we consider to be a true high-performance sports athlete: the football referee.
