Abstract

This is an extraordinary book and I recommend it to every scholar interested in the law of international organizations. It is an outstanding representative of a new research interest that focuses on the theoretical basis on which organizations became one of the most prominent social phenomena of our time. Fernando Lusa Bordin succeeded in a rigorous exercise of analytical thought which examines the value and the theoretical soundness of a methodological instrument employed to identify the legal frameworks applicable to international organizations: the analogy with states.

Keywords: international law, international organizations, analogy, international responsibility, law of treaties, international law commission
