Abstract
Soliton and dissipative soliton have different pulse width, pulse energy, and propagation behaviors. The results are quite different for the generation of broadband light source. In this work, the broadband photosources have been investigated based on two kinds of pulsed seed lasers. A high flatness spectrum with a bandwidth greater than 300 nm and predicted spectrum up to 2000 nm covering Er and Tm emission regime has been obtained by amplifying soliton pulsed laser. 370-mW higher average power broadband light scource has been obtained based on the amplification of dissipative solition lasers. The proposed broadband photosource does not need to add further nonlinear medium in case of introducing unnecessary losses. These results pave the way for the realization of broadband, high flatness spectrum, compact light sources, and the use of all-fiber optic structure to lay the foundation for integration and detection applications, etc .
