Hub-and-Spoke Cartels – An Economic and Legal Perspective (Hub-and-Spoke Kartelleri – İktisadi ve Hukuki Açıdan Bir Bakış)

Turkish Abstract: Hub-and-spoke kartelleri Türkiye gündemine geçtiğimiz yıl beş zincir market ve bir bitkisel yağ üreticisinin Rekabet Kurulu'dan 2,7 milyar lira para cezası almasıyla gelmişti. Bizler bu kısa makalede, hub-and-spoke tipi danışıklıkları iktisadi ve hukuki açıdan birbirini tamamlayacak şekilde ele alamaya çalıştık. Ayrıca Rekabet Kurulu’nun hub-and-spoke ile anılan kararlarını da incelemeye çalıştık.

English Abstract: Hub-and-spoke cartels became a topic of conversation in Turkey last year after five grocery chains and a cooking oil producer were fined 2.7 billion Turkish liras by the Turkish Competition Board. In this short article, we examine hub-and-spoke collusion from an economic and legal perspective in a way that complements each other. We also touch upon the Turkish Competition Board's decisions, referred to as hub-and-spoke.
