Abstract

By the end of 2021, both public opinion and subject matter experts voiced complex concerns over AI and VR developments in extended reality designs: Mark Zuckerberg announced the name change of Facebook into Meta and the plans to develop Metaverse - the virtual reality universe that merges the physical, the digital and the imaginary.

Even from its incipient stage, the prospect of the Metaverse shows multiple points of interest where the Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence Implementation Framework (TAII Framework) can influence its development, implementation, usage, and, not lastly, its public perception. Technological innovation does not necessarily progress in tune with social innovation. Material culture changes at a much faster rate than immaterial culture - consider how the production, usage, and disposal of plastic illustrates that artefacts and behavior do not change in correlation.
