Abstract

The research deepened the hydro-geochemical knowledge of the aquifer, located in the northern area of the San Vicente volcano. The parameters analyzed were data on cations (Na, K, Ca, Mg, and total Fe), anions (HCO-3, Cl-, SO-24, Ca CO3-2), carbonates, and physicochemical parameters. Samples were collected during the dry and rainy season from 20 excavated wells, 15 springs, and 10 points in surface water. In general, it was concluded that the predominant families of water are calcium-magnesium bicarbonates, this situation implied an alert to decision-makers and the community in the area.
