Abstract

The psychosocial approach looks at individuals in the context of the combined influence of psychological factors and the surrounding social environment on their physical and mental wellness and ability to function. Major psychosocial issues included family problems, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, sexual abuse, and violence. Women were more likely to have suffered violence, while many of the men had problems dealing with their aggression toward others. Psychosocial problems have been identified as critical among researchers when they get admission to the university, Pre-Ph.D. stress, Course work anxiety, Synopsis stress, Presentation stress, Seminar stress, and personal and family life events. Psychosocial problems occur in a wide variety of settings. They often negatively impact scholars’ mental health. There were very few studies have been conducted on psychosocial problems among researchers. The study aims to find out the psychosocial problems of researchers.
