Abstract

Comprehensive high-level resource overviewing the global regulatory framework for digital assets. The objective of this material is to provide context for the extensive existing regime, ranging from banking, capital markets, consumer protection, money transmitter, tax, state, and commercial standard-setting regimes to other global frameworks. International standard setting is crucial in all financial regulation, and it is urgent for crypto and stablecoins. The differences between national and regional approaches are striking.
