This paper studies a seller’s compound search for heterogenous bidders. We specify the optimal search rule, characterize the cutoff values for optimal stopping, and discuss the connections between our results and those of classical sequential search models.

Keywords: compound search, heterogenous bidders, optimal search rule, cutoff values
