Populism, Oligarchy, and the Circulation of Elites: A Revision of the Paleo Strategy

Abstract

The following piece is an expanded reworking of my essay titled Populism, Oligarchy, and the Circulation of Elites, originally published in two parts by The Mallard UK in September 2021, realigning my original work on elite theory and populism towards the spirit of the Paleo strategy set forward by Murray Rothbard and Lew Rockwell in the 1990s.

Its objective is to serve as a didactic guideline on how to think through the concept of the Right-Wing populist strategy used by new Paleo movement, as well as providing some insights into what could be done in power in case this Paleo populist strategy results effective.
