Abstract

In this paper, driven by a manifest social objective, I pitch a case for the InSPiR2eS Centre for Responsible Science (IC4RS). IC4RS is a virtual centre, critically supported by a diverse network of university nodes across the globe. This pitch blends a wide range of my previous writings … most notably, Faff’s (2015; 2021a) “Pitching Research” framework (PRF); Faff and Kastelle’s (2016) PR4EI companion framework; Faff’s (2021b) “Responsible Science Matters”; and Faff’s (2021c) “programmatic” framework. Seven core elements underpin my IC4RS vision: (1) the PRF; (2) open science principles; (3) website portal support/web app; (4) micro-credential learning; (5) the InSPiR2eS research network; (6) events, competitions & initiatives; and (7) key stakeholder engagement.

Keywords: responsible science, pitching research framework, open science
