Abstract
Authored by the University of Cambridge SupTech Lab, the State of SupTech Report 2022 presents insights on the current state of the digital transformation of financial supervision based on engagement with 146 supervisory agencies globally, including: i) Suptech demand from financial authorities, ii) Suptech supply by technology vendors, iii) Challenges to uptake of suptech solutions, iv) Opportunities and challenges unique to specific jurisdictional income levels and agency types. The Report also presents a set of novel frameworks to serve as a contextual framing for the insights, such as: i) The SupTech Taxonomy, ii) SupTech Generations 2.0, iii) The suptech landscape, 1987-present, iv) Case studies from across the supervisory stack.
