Abstract
Climate change affects every economy of the world; every sectors of the economy, and all the sections of the society. But the severity and magnitude differs, for example the developing economies, agricultural sector and underprivileged, poor and women will be worst affected. As climate change threatens the very existence of life on earth, all the economies should consider the issue of climate change seriously.
Economic growth is dependent on environment as economy draws the resources and services provided by the environment. Economy depends on the services provided by the environment. These services include the provision of raw materials and energy used to produce goods and services, the absorption of waste from human activities and its basic roles in life support systems. Modern economies always strive to grow continuously and progressively upwards. In the process, nations follow unsustainable paths, strain their natural wealth and damage the earth's green house cover.
