Abstract

The emergence of financial technology (FinTech) has been transforming the financial services industry by creating new opportunities and challenges, while financial engineering, on the other hand, has been a key driver of financial innovation by enabling the creation of complex financial products and services. This paper provides an overview of the relationship between FinTech and financial engineering, highlighting their key differences and similarities, exploring the ways in which they are being used to develop new financial products and services, discussing the challenges faced by FinTech firms and financial engineers, and the opportunities for growth and development in the financial services industry, and the implications for the future of financial services.
