Abstract

Considers the extent to which unrequested improvements to land may enrich the landowner and may found an appropriate form of restitutionary order, the denial of which may result in unjust enrichment. Discusses the concept of a restitutionary lien. Explains that the outcome in Redland City Council v Kozic [2022] QCA 158 is unsatisfactory.
