ChatGPT as a Tool for Bibliometrics Analysis: Interview with ChatGPT

Abstract

This paper discusses how ChatGPT can be used as a tool for bibliometric analysis as well as the challenges associated with it. In order to properly execute this study, author asked ChatGPT three valuable questions: 1) How ChatGPT can help to conduct a bibliometrics analysis? 2) How ChatGPT can help a bibliometrician?? and 3) What are the challenges associated with ChatGPT while conducting a bibliometrics analysis? The answers show that using ChatGPT can provide several benefits for researchers such as data visualization, data analysis and data interpretation etc. However, it is also identified some serious problems like data quality, biases and ethics and privacy, which are discussed in the third question. This work may be of benefit to researchers in the field of bibliometrics or to authors wishing to conduct bibliometric analysis using ChatGPT.
