Abstract

This research introduces an experimental approach to analyzing urban economics literature, focusing on prominent books about the economics of cities. It applies text analysis techniques using open-source tools like R and Voyant Tools. The paper reviews text mining methods and their relevance to urban economics, highlighting their potential to deepen understanding of key concepts and trends. It concludes with ten open research questions to guide future studies, aiming to address gaps and promote innovative approaches to urban economics and textual analysis.
