Abstract

The traditional underwater vehicles are often bulky and inflexible, mainly because the ocean current disturbance brings a very negative impact on the work of the vehicle, the current propeller thrusters can not respond to the changes in the ocean current in time to overcome the disturbance of the ocean current disturbance. This paper proposes another solution to overcome the disturbance by combining the FOC technology in the motor field with BLDC motor, i.e., using motors with high frequency response capability to generate the required thrust in time, and designing a ducted propeller with large speed-thrust ratio and high resistance to sudden speed change shock based on such motors. This paper discusses a new propeller thruster optimization design method that combines structural design methods and optimization design methods, which can be used for propeller adaptive design based on the optimization objectives of the multi-objective optimization problem proposed by the user requirements. This paper compares the performance differences between the propeller designed using this method and the atlas method to verify the effectiveness of the method, and also tests the fast thrust variation response of the propeller propulsion using this propeller in preparation for the subsequent underwater vehicle dynamics.
