Abstract
Victim protection is an essential part of the response by police. As soon as the victim comes in touch with the police as first responders and then investigators, he/she is confronted by many challenges. This piece looks at the different ways in which victim may be ably supported by police and the criminal justice system. This article, was first published in July 2022 in ‘Dawn’, a newspaper in Pakistan.
