Abstract
The most known platelet rich plasma (PRP) effects on pain are mainly observed in patients with osteoarthritis, diabetic neuropathy and dental pain, with emphasis on trigeminal neuralgia, which is a damaging neuropathic pain condition with strong impact on basic human health aspects. The aims of the present mini review are to point out and analyze the role played by PRP as current new personalized medical therapy against trigeminal neuralgia-related pain. The mechanistic aspect in trigeminal neuralgia, as well as PRP effects on this disease, will be herein addressed.
