The study also highlights the unique challenges and complexities of investigating financial information technology-related crimes. In addition, it explores the potential of blockchain technology for enhancing transparency, traceability, and accountability in financial transactions. The paper concludes with recommendations for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to adapt and leverage these emerging trends to improve fraud investigation and prevention efforts. Finally, the study emphasizes the need for continued research and innovation to effectively detect and prevent financial fraud in the ever-evolving landscape of emerging technologies, highlighting the dynamic nature of forensic accounting.
