Terahertz Metamaterial Immunosensor Based on Nano AU Film Structure for Detecting Trace of Chloramphenicol in Milk
Abstract
Chloramphenicol (CAP) is still illegally utilized in aquaculture and animal husbandry due to its affordable price and potent sterilizing abilities while has been prohibited. To enhance the analytical performance of Terahertz (THz) sensor through the economical and straightforward mean to significantly reduce the damage caused by CAP residues, a novel THz immunosensing platform that was combined with the nanoscale Au film metamaterial (AuF MM) and immunocompetitive method has been developed in this study. The change in transmittance caused by the interaction of THz waves with the complexes produced on the surface of AuF MM is used to quantify CAP concentrations. This THz immunobiosensing technology might detect CAP in milk with extremely high sensitivity thanks to the significant surface plasmon resonance induced by the dual Au particles. and offers a straightforward, effective, sensitive and specific immunoassay approach for the detection of small molecule proteins or large macromolecular viruses.
