Abstract
This paper's object is to dissect the political system in Bangladesh and the prospects and challenges for popular connection. Since 1971, after Bangladesh's independence, it has faced a different socio-political geography and endured different shifts in its political system. The country has made great progress toward a republic over the years, but it still faces colorful obstacles that limit the complete connection of popular ideals. The study will take a multifaceted approach, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches, to estimate the abecedarian factors of Bangladesh's political system. It'll examine the literal setting, indigenous frame, election procedures, party politics, and significant political players' places. Likewise, the study will look at how socioeconomic issues, artistic dynamics, and geographical differences affect the functioning of the political system. The paper will accentuate the significant challenges faced by the political system, including corruption, a lack of political transparency and responsibility, polarization, and weak institutional capacity. It will explore how these challenges affect popular governance, social cohesion, and the overall development of the country. Likewise, the exploration will critically assess the measures taken by successive governments to address these challenges and their effectiveness in promoting popular connection. To understand the prospects for popular connection, the study will identify and dissect the factors that contribute to political stability, citizen participation, and the protection of civil liberties. It'll explore the role of civil society associations, the media, and transnational actors in promoting popular values and good governance. The exploration will also examine the impact of technological advancements and social media on political dynamics and citizen engagement. The findings of this exploration paper will give precious perceptivity into the political system in Bangladesh, offering a comprehensive assessment of the challenges it faces and the openings for popular connection. The study will contribute to the literature on relative politics and democratization while also offering recommendations for policymakers, civil society associations, and transnational stakeholders to support Bangladesh's journey towards a more robust and inclusive popular system.
