Focus on the Progress of the Analysis of Co-Occurrences (or Contingencies): Case of The Study of The Moroccan University Professors Career

Abstract

Relationship analysis (co-occurrences) between thematic categories is a critical phase in the process of qualitative data analysis. Especially when developing the research model. It consists of determining the relations between two or more elements in the same unit of context (Bardin, 2013), inside the participants’ speech in a study. The purpose is to elaborate a reliable and well-grounded explanatory diagram to move from a relatively static plan to a dynamic one (Duriez, 2009).

Through this contribution, we wish to communicate the approach and techniques of analysing relationships applied during our exploratory study on the career plateauing of teacher-researchers in Morocco.
