Abstract

This research aims to investigate the multifaceted implications of artificial intelligence (AI) in deep fake technology on identity theft, cyberbullying, and the human illusion. By employing a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach, the study seeks to shed light on the national security and global societal challenges posed by the rapid advancements in AI and its impact on these critical areas.

The objectives of the research are threefold: (1) to analyze the methodology and concepts underlying deep fake technology and its integration with AI algorithms, (2) to explore real-life case studies of identity theft and cyberbullying perpetrated through deep fake technology, and (3) to assess the qualitative and quantitative dimensions of the subject matter.

The research will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The qualitative phase will involve thorough global case studies involving victims, law enforcement agencies, and cybersecurity experts, aiming to understand the psychological, social, and legal implications of identity theft and cyberbullying facilitated by deep fake technology. Additionally, content analysis of online platforms and social media will be conducted to identify patterns and trends. The quantitative phase will involve data analysis of reported cases, statistical modeling, and sentiment analysis to provide a broader perspective on the prevalence and impact of these issues.

The findings of this research will contribute to the field of AI, data science, analytics, business intelligence, machine learning, and emerging technologies by providing a comprehensive understanding of the risks associated with deep fake technology. It will enhance knowledge of the vulnerabilities of individuals and organizations in the face of identity theft and cyberbullying, thus helping develop effective preventive measures and strategies to mitigate the risks.
