The First University of St. Gallen Grand Challenge: The EU A.I. Act 2023 -- Rulebook 2.0

Abstract

This is the Rulebook of the “First University of St. Gallen Grand Challenge: The EU AI Act”, a public research competition taking place on 12-19 July 2023 with a prize of 100'000 CHF for the winner (a bit more than 100'000 EUR/USD as per 7 July 2023). The task for teams participating in the Grand Challenge is to assess certain Artificial Intelligence technology upon compliance with the upcoming legislation of the European Union on A.I. (the EU A.I. Act). The Rulebook contains the rules governing the Grand Challenge.

This is version 2.0 of the Rulebook. It contains the authoritative rules governing the Grand Challenge. Rulebook 2.0 supersedes all other information on the Grand Challenge, including Rulebook 1.0 and the information on the Grand Challenge webpage.
