Preparation of Os-Ag Nanozyme and Application in Detection of L-Cysteine and Glutathione (Gsh) by Smartphone

Abstract

Exploration the enzyme-like property of Osmium based nanomaterials is important for expanding the application of noble metal nanozyme. Herein, Os-Ag nanomaterials was prepared and their mimetics property was investigated systematically. The optimal conditions for peroxidase-like activity, including pH, substrate concentration, temperature and amount of Os-Ag were explored. The steady-state kinetic and mechanism for the catalytic were investigated. Interestingly, addition of L-Cysteine or GSH could result in inhibitory effect on the peroxidase-like activity of Os-Ag nanozyme. Therefore, an intelligent colorimetric detection system for L-Cysteine and GSH based on portable paper strip and smartphone was fabricated. The sensing system exhibited good selectivity. This proposed colorimetric sensing assay holds great potential application in the detetion of biothiols.
