Abstract

This research delineates the progression involved in creating a chatbot for managing large accounting and finance undergraduate courses' administrative tasks. We discuss applications of chatbots in accounting and education and specify a chatbot implementation framework. Moreover, we are one of the first studies to identify the relevant IFRS and GAAP standards associated with chatbot applications in accounting. The chatbot presents a robust tool capable of answering student inquiries regarding administrative aspects like assignment deadlines, course materials, navigation tips, and group establishment. The developmental phases captured in screenshots come from the freely accessible Snatchbot platform, promoting widespread adoption. Though we show a singular connection to an answer based on particular keywords, an operative chatbot would necessitate the creation of numerous connections to varied answers. The manuscript concludes with an overview of the chatbot's flow, indicating the interactions' interconnections.
